Nate Maselli (one of my best friend's in San Diego) ---his best friend from New York, whom I was fairly close too through Nate, was hit by a drunk driver on Friday night in Newport. Doctors have told Nate and the family that he isn't going to make it. I wanted to share this because when something like this happens close to home it makes you realize how important family and friends are and how we should cherish the moments that we have with one another. Please keep Mike McGlaughlin and his family in your prayers.
Love you guys,
Rybo

WORK dot COM
Adventure in Los Angeles
Carrie and I took a break from watching NFL football this past Sunday and ventured up to the Getty Malibu Villa to check out the gardens and some cool art. Carrie wanted to do a cannonball into the nice water but I threatened her with torture if she did. Care is NUTS-that's why I love her. Oh and on Sat we went on a hike in Malibu, the trailhead is called Coral Canyon if your ever in the area.
WE CAN JUMP REALLY HIGH
1st Round Talent folks
The water Carrie wanted to jump in
She is good
Fun Face
Stumbled upon this little gem on our way home. A place called Shrine Lake. Here you can mediate and take in some peaceful time as you walk around the water. This place was created by a YOGI

Seattle in a day
Back from Seattle.........a little tired but totally satisfied. The city was clean, friendly, green, and really in tune with music and art. Carrie and I loved it!!!!!! We got in late Friday night and had a beer at a place called the Red Door (ratio: 25:1 guy to girl ratio) I think Carrie yelled out "More DUDES"
Sat we walked all day through the sideways rain and wind and managed to drink about 25 cups of coffee each since it was so cold out. Here are a couple places we saw:
The NEEDLE
More Needle
We also caught Ghostland Observatory at the Showbox SODO theatre in downtown Seattle. This is my favorite band right now!!!! I'll be seeing them Nov 19 at the Key Club in Hollywood......Ski come down for it!!!

Hi family!
Dad and I have had a wonderful, relaxing time thus far up here in beautiful Lake Tahoe. Would love to send pics but we only have disposable cameras. Lots of hiking, biking and only one night of casino time. Nothing much going on there. Weather is perfect and today it's riding around the lake.
Hope you are all doing well. Miss everyone. See you soon Lis.....

Of course music can move your soul that way....unlike rap. Don't get all that. Sounds like an awesome evening Scott. I think "Edward Cullen" sounds exactly like Eddie Vedder....check it out. Don't you agree Lis?
Today Aunty Chris and Dan will arrive this evening. Hope we can do a family dinner maybe on SAturday if you, Ryan and Andrew are around......let me know what the weekend plans are.
Have a great day!

"I'm sooooo ALIVE"
I went to see Pearl Jam last night at the Gibson Amphitheater in Burbank with the GF and the Aussie. Ben Harper opened up for PJ and literally brought me to tears! (insert women joke). No joke BH is unbelievable; I had goose bumps the entire set!!! It's amazing to me how music can touch your soul and provide you with soooo much feeling and emotion. Eddie Vedder is an incredible showman, and his voice is EPIC!
Pearl Jam was the 1st CD my old man bought me when I was in 6th grade, and I've been an avid fan of Eddie Vedder ever since. His new album is very good and spiritual you have to check it out!!
He played a good mix of new and old hits and brought Ben Harper out to play a song at the end.
The ENCORE "Keep on rocking in the real WORLD" was SICK!!

I bet it was beautiful too as the weather starts changing there. Love the pics......Do you guys remember when you all sat on top of the cannons at West Point? You also sat on them (Ry you were so little and scared of the noise) at one of Washington's training camps. Megan and Andrew were with you guys.....have those photos and your picture with Carrie reminded me of that.
So...who caught the boquet and who got the garter? you know I like those details Scotty.......did you dance with the fam? Do they think you're insane on the dance floor?
Ok.....just checking. Have a wonderful day everyone. Looking forward to spending some time in AZ with family. Bye for now

• Meeting all 45 of Carries buddies....they gave me a lot of shit
• Metro rides
• Fawn Lake
• Rehearsal dinner
• Dancing my face off at the wedding
• Having the best Sunday ever!!! Skins game, BBQ, watching the rain, playing with little Nico

Listening to affirmations at work...
Found this old poem I wrote... yep, this is where my head is at. Thank you family for all of your support, now and always! Old soul Lisa is re-emerging:
Here I am, full of wisdom, movement, power as I tower over adversity, can't you see that I was meant to be the one and only Lisa Kirby? I blur the lines between what is reality and society's tremendously uninformed assumptions. We all beat the drum to a constant monotonous drawn out daily routine. But I've seen and I've tasted the long lasting all embracing Source Energy that has sent me into a whirlwind of contemplation and re-calculation as I put a halt on the normally stalwart negative thoughts of the unawakened masses. To possess a flicker of this delightful knowledge, to remember to remember that we have the power to set forth these rockets of desire, to think and attract all that we ask for. How glorious the moment when we claim ownership to the beautiful life that is ours to design. My canvas is ever changing and defining. I glide through this life with joy and love and family and friends by my side.

Reason # 47 Why I hate LA
Ok, so I went to the Citizen Cope Concert at the House of Blues on Sunset last night and he did an amazing job despite having to sing over a LOUD, rude, clueless audience. I've never been so ashamed of a place where I live than I am right now. The souls of these LA people are hollow! The GF and I were standing next to a couple that were more interested in there IPHONE and Captain Morgan and cokes than they were vibing out with Cope. She definitely goes to USC and he was probably in USC grad school. Puke on your Dick!!! I tried to tune everything out but it was very difficult-what was everyone TALKING about?!

ROSE BOWL!!! UCLA VS Kansas St 2009
We headed it out to Pasadena Saturday to cheer on the Bruins man handle the K-State Wildcats. The GF and I went with Steck, Drew, and Chizz and tailgated in the Now and Forever Tailgate for ex-UCLA football players. This "free" tailgate was equipped with plasma TV's, catered BBQ, open FULL Bar, leather couches, XBOX, and they even pumped in air condition into the tent. It was AMAZING
The best part of the day/night was watching the pre-game warm-ups on the FIELD!! I felt, touched, smelled the Rose Bowl grass and I can now say I can die a happy man. It goes into my top five experiences of my life.
Thanks again Cuz for hooking all this up, can't wait to go back!

Thought for the day....
Hi Family,
Just wanted to send this little message that came to my attention. Thought it was good because when we take ourselves too seriously and don't have fun.....we need to take a deep breath and remember......
Life is short Break the rules
forgive quickly
kiss passionately
love truly
laugh constantly
And never stop smiling no matter how strange life is
Life is not always the party we expected to be
but as long as we are here, we should smile and be grateful.
I am so thankful and grateful to have all of you in my life. Scotty, it seems that you and I are filling up this blog. How about having one of us send a message a week. Gives everyone 7 days to think about what they want to say......serious and meaningful. What do you think?

Support your Local Music scene-Santa Monica
Carrie and I and some friends went to a place called Dakota Lounge on 11th and Wilshire. It's a sick spot to watch some local bands jam out for about an hour. We supporter Carries friend Paul Freeman; he is a cool English boy with catchy tunes and rifts.
And then there was this girl who played her little heart out as well. Loved her!!
shhhhhh-going to see the KILLERS TONIGHT!!!! Can't wait
