I HEART 2010!

Dear 2010,
You rock! You're so much better than 2009 and despite the economic downturn, 2009 rocked big time. So you ask, what's so great about 2010 so far?
1) Scotty and Carrie are engaged!
2) Decorations at the DoJo are complete (thank you, Mom!) and I am in love with my place
3) Mom and Dad are no longer in a long distance relationship
4) My Equinox classes are keeping me consistently tight: Chisl'ed, Tabada & Spin
5) My long lost sister & friend for life, Krista, is my neighbor & I adore her & all of our adventures!
6) I learned how to ride the bus & skip the taxi's... keeping it fiscally tight
7) no cable or internet at home + no Tony (lymi!) = reading, writing, dancing, listening to new music, meditation, productivity, relaxation, awesome outfits planned the night before
8) fridaymixtape.com and beezo.net
9) I have a keyboard and am not afraid to use it
10) Trips planned so far: Vegas, Virginia, Scottsdale, San Diego, Chicago, maybe Coachella & Stagecoach, Reggae Rising in Humboldt, and maybe South America (TBD)
Obviously I'm leaving out a few big ones but this blog is public : ) Overall, I'm thrilled for this year and feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful, inspiring, HAPPY people. And of course, as always, I am beyond appreciative of you all... my amazing family. We rock, and we know it!
Much Love, Lisa

Hey Ryan,
Thanks for the update. Sounds like another success for you.
Now don't be too hard on those 60 year old women. They obviously love you and want you to hook up with THEIR daughters....just guessing.
Hope you're feeling better too. Good point about "don't sweat the small stuff". Carrie continues to hang in there and continues to enjoy herself as best she can. When it's time to relax, she does. When she's feeling better, she's out there enjoying the moment. We love her attitude and we hope it rubs off on Scottie! Yeah Scott, take notes. No worries, no rushing to get home, all is well and you'll be in Virginia when it's right for both of you.
Ryan, when's your next visit? We really do miss Santa Monica....mostly because we could see all of you together.
Have a nice day. Love you...Mom

Work!...the job kind of Work
Hey All,
Sorry I've been M.I.A. lately. These past 2 weeks have been very challenging for me. I was given 2 weeks to throw a 100 person party pretty much by myself. It was long hours at the office and even more stress working with 60 year old women who not only ask me about technological stuff on a minute by minute basis, but also bombard me with questions of why I'm not married or have a girlfriend. They ASSUME (aheeemmm, Wid) that I would. So, I just had my event last night and it went great. We raised a ton of friggin' money.
I'm glad it's over and we just have to do some wrap up reports now. But I'll tell you, what got me through it, was that every time I complained or got annoyed with some of the deadline heat or my co-workers nagging...I stopped and realized what you had to go through Carrie and I snapped out of it and got back to work. So, thanks for indirectly helping me with my event. haha.
Anyways, thought this picture below would be entertaining. It was our "wish list" of things we wanted these donors to purchase last night. Who are these people????!!! LOL.

Love You...Mean It
Hey Fam, it's Rybo. You guys need to vamp up your blog skills all ready! Anyways, just wanted to say hi. Scotty, Carrie is in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. Lis, love you, mean it. Mom, I might come out for the golf tourney so get ready for some tennis battles. And Dad, hope you're enjoying the 'ol days of working out of the comfort of home, where Wid bugs you (only kidding Mom!), you can work in a robe, and you don't have to deal with any office wankers. Well, that is all. Miss you guys and have safe travels brother.
